Development PPP Project: "Know-how and technology transfer for sustainable soil treatment technologies in the Southern Indian state of Karnataka".
Project Partners: Vogt Baugeräte GmbH, bsso consultants, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Sequa GmbH. For the soil enhancing granulate Geohumus has donated a large volume of thei German award winning material.
The aim of the project is sharing know-how in the area of sustainable methods of soil preparation with Indian farmers and students in the agricultural sector. In addition, the project will make modern technology that treats soil environmentally friendly available to those groups. It helps to increase yields significantly by reducing the amount of fertilizer required and minimize the volume of irrigation water needed substantially.
VOGT GmbH plans the implementation of theoretical and practical training courses to achieve these objectives. In addition, specific training concepts for agricultural institutions will be developed and implemented. Here, the focus will be on practical education.
It is important to conduct programs that make this technology available to as many people as possible in India to increase awareness and disseminate innovative technology in India. In order to achieve this goal a network will be establishment which will includes relevant institutions such as R&D, education training centers, farms and government agencies.
