The Phronesis Academy
In December 2010 Gerindtec, in cooperation with the German government entered into an MOU, to establish a Solar Thermal Training Centre in India.
The training center will provide in-depth training on Solar Thermal Technologies, to 3 target groups; (viz.) Decision makers, planners and Installers of solar thermal technologies.
An MoU was signed with the German Government Department Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit, GIZ. Currently we are establishing a state of the art training centre under the name “The Phronesis Academy”, an Internationally recognized hands-on training centre for solar thermal technologies and sustainable water treatment solutions.
The initial steps are that trainers from international industries establish a training program on already existing know how used by said industries for many years. This high quality educational program will be used to conduct a “Train the Trainer” program. This initiative will also help in Phase I to make solar thermal technology known to a larger group of people to create a wider knowledge of solar based technologies across the country. In Phase II a training program will be established to deal with the subject of saving irrigational water, and a capacity building program on latest agriculture developments will be conducted. Phase III will consist of the establishment of laboratories and a research centre for Cryopreservation with its focus on advanced educational program.
